Gold influence firm near one-month highs as geopolitical concerns support.

Bengaluru, May 30 Gold held steady early on Tuesday as easing Asian stock markets and geopolitical concerns helped the yellow metal hover close to one-month peaks.Spot gold rose 0.1 per cent to $1,268.36 per ounce at 0105 GMT. US gold futures were flat at $1,267.80 an ounce.

Greece bailoutThe euro came under pressure on Tuesday after a media report that Greece may forego its next bailout payment if creditors cannot strike a debt relief deal, while Asian stocks were shackled by holidays in some regional markets.Former prime minister Matteo Renzi had suggested on Sunday that Italy's next election be held at the same time as Germany's, saying this made sense “from a European perspective".
